Our Auction Heritage

For many years, our specialist auctions were held four times a year at NAEC Stoneleigh. More than simply auctions, these sales became established events in the railwayana calendar, bringing together collectors and enthusiasts from across the UK.

Stoneleigh provided an excellent setting for these popular sales, while we also regularly held substantial railwayana and transport auctions at Bloxham in Oxfordshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Over the years, Great Central Railwayana also organised a variety of specialist ticket auctions and dedicated sales, including events held in Central London.

Today, our auctions have evolved to become entirely online, making it easier than ever for collectors to browse, bid and participate in our sales from wherever they are. While the way our auctions are conducted has changed, the specialist knowledge, personal service and passion for railwayana that have defined Great Central Railwayana for more than 35 years remain at the heart of everything we do.
